Agency for Pre-Primary, Primary and Secondary Education started operating on January 01st, 2009.

The Agency seat is in Mostar while the two field offices are set up in Banja Luka and Sarajevo. Mostar seat hosts the Unit for Common Core Curriculum. The Unit for Secondary Vocational Education and Training, Adult Training and Lifelong Learning is housed in Banja Luka while Sarajevo office sited the Unit for Standards and Assessment in Education.

The Agency has legated the Standard and Assessment Agency in Education for FBiH and RS, streaming activities on education quality assurance in BiH thru establishing the standards on learning achievements, evaluating the achieved results and developing the common core curricula in preprimary, primary and secondary education.
